Dear Scholarship Applicant,
We are pleased to inform you that the Atomic Athletic Foundation is restructuring its process in partnership with your competitive athletic club directors to provide a more transparent award system. This new approach aims to enhance clarity and transparency in the scholarship process, ensuring that all recipients are well-informed about the procedures and criteria.
New Process and Procedures:
Application Submission: All applications must be submitted through our online portal by the specified deadline. Late submissions will not be considered.
Evaluation Criteria: Scholarships will be awarded based on a combination of financial need, household income, dependents, and extenuating circumstances. Detailed criteria will be available on our website.
Notification: Recipients will be notified via email prior to tryouts. Please ensure your contact information is up-to-date.
Award Distribution: Scholarships will be distributed in two installments – one at the beginning of the volleyball season and the second at the mid-point. Recipients must maintain their eligibility throughout the year to receive the second installment.
We believe these changes will make the scholarship process more straightforward and fair for all applicants. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@atomicathleticfoundation.org.
Thank you for your attention, and we wish you the best in your athletic endeavors.
Sincerely,
Tiffany Hunter Rusaw
Atomic Athletic Foundation
Full and partial scholarships are available for the 2025/26 volleyball season for need based applicants. If awarded a full scholarship there still could be minimal financial responsibility and not all applicants applying for a scholarship will be awarded the requested amount.
AAF may request further documentation of income or extenuating circumstances for scholarship approval.
All scholarship recipients will be required to volunteer and participate in fundraising activities throughout the season. If unable to volunteer an additional financial fee will be required.
For all partial scholarships an initial payment at tryouts (commitment fee) is required in addition to 6 monthly payments due on the 1st of each month Dec-May.
Scholarships do not cover extra tournaments that your player's team elects to add.
Scholarships do not cover post season tournaments (example: The Summer Festival) nor Nationals, unless the team's regular season dues cover requiring the team to attend Nationals (example: some Smack teams).
If you are requesting funds for more than one child, please fill out separate applications for each one.
